Cruising Alaska is a great way to visit Alaska for the first time. I traveled with some friends to celebrate my husband's and mine 20th wedding anniversary. In May, the weather was great. Now, no one was swimming in the pool, but, we did not need gloves and heavy layers, either. One of our favorite things that we did in Alaska was tour the Eagle Preserve in Haines, Alaska. We went in a rubber raft down a category 2 wild river. It was fun and majestic!
